Mariellen McKenney

Mel was the first word I said and has been my inspiration for so many things--nursing, a devout sense of sarcasm, and last-minute planning and arrivals. As my mom's only sibling, she has filled in for so many duties over the last few years, and threw us an engagement party that my mom would be proud of (despite her concerns about where we were going to fit everyone).

Bill McKenney

Bill and I have many things in common: our taste in music, love of Rangeley, horrible vision, and my aunt Mel! As the guy who has most consistently been by my side since '87, he was the best person to choose to fill in for the father-daughter dance.  His commitment to Mel and our entire family is incredible. If you're not sure where to find him, just listen out for his laugh.

Susan Donovan

When not eagerly waiting to see her children again, Susan enjoys going to the beach, visiting family and friends and hosting them down the Cape, and traveling.  You can expect for Susie (as she is lovingly called) to be overwhelmed with joy on our big day - she hasn’t been able to socialize with so many wonderful people in a long time.  If you’re looking for something to talk about, you can’t go wrong with travel (if you have suggestions for new places in Mexico you’ll become a favorite), food (for a fun trick, ask her to name her favorite wine/cheese/etc.), or her (now expanded) family.

Joseph Donovan

It may be difficult for Joe not to have been responsible to cook anything for our celebration, but don’t worry, we tasked him with enough projects to keep him busy.  He was also the only person in support of Rori making her own wedding cake--they were both vetoed. You’ll no doubt find Joe talking someone’s ear off, and if you tag in, you’ll be sure to learn plenty.  The retired life has afforded Joe plenty of time to cook, travel, and spend time in peace and quiet down the Cape (said peace and quiet assumes no chores popping up).

The Edwards Aunts

My dad's sisters all remind me of him in some small way. Whether it's Nancy's ability to talk for hours on end, Margie's familiarity with pipefitters, Karen's love of Bud Light or Helen's love of travel. They have supported and encouraged me every step of the way, and welcomed Dennis into the craziness with open arms. From living on my own in NC to planning the wedding, I would be truly lost without them, and would be having way less fun.

Herkules

While he is only here in spirit today given his shaky (at best) history with strangers, Herk has brought us incredible joy and helped us realize that we are capable of caring for something other than ourselves. He has tested our patience and proved that together we can handle anything, even a 75 pound rescue.

All of you

Truly, every person celebrating with us a person of note in our books. We truly believe our partnership is a result of the support and love from all of our friends and family. Every detail of our celebration has all of you in mind, and many of you have made this day possible.
