Our Story

How We Met

Ah, a tale as old as Tinder. Dennis and Rori met on multiple dating apps and after a brief back and forth (who needs internet friends?!) decided to meet for a few craft beers at Bukowski's. They were instantly attracted to each other's sense of humor and taste in good beer. That they both have gorgeous green eyes didn't hurt, either. After many dates at Fenway, adventures to breweries near and far, they decided to move in together and contemplate their future--knowing they could face whatever ups & downs life hurdled their way.

The Proposal

when you have been together for quite some time, it's easy to assume that every vacation might be the trip. for rori, thanks to eager friends & family, many vacations felt like they had potential to be the trip. there was rori's 30th in NC, when dennis had to politely tell her that despite Dan & ellen's wishes, he would not in fact be proposing. Or in portugal, when he awkwardly moved her for being in the way that rori assumed he was about to get down on one knee.
but dennis knew that the perfect place to propose was not in a vacation bubble, but where rori truly saw the best side of him. where his passion shines brightest, and where his first love, myrtle, lived in a very large tank.
After a delicious lunch of pizza and arancini from Umberto's (devoured in the park formerly known as Christopher Columbus park), they walked a very familiar route to the New England Aquarium. Rori was fairly suspicious (and had painted her nails the night before) but wasn't entirely sure when Dennis would pop a long-anticipated question. Despite all of the visitors to the aquarium that day, Dennis found a quiet corner near the Giant Ocean TaNk, and decided to make things official.

Attire

Cocktail attire is requested, but we recommend lower heels/comfortable shoes given uneven terrain around the Camp.
